Translation forms a bridge between languages. Bridging a language divide brings our global community closer together. The better we are able to understand one another, the more positive interactions we will have.

My passion for language began while I was an exchange student in Bolivia. This experience inspired me to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish from Greenville College, and a Master’s degree in Modern Languages from Kansas State University. Since then, I have been facilitating understanding Spanish through teaching, translation, and interpretation.

As a Peace Corps Volunteer in El Salvador, I taught English to teachers and students. I have been a facilitator of learning Spanish for 16 years; two at Kansas State University, eight at College of San Mateo, and two at San Francisco Unified School District.

My experience as a translator includes government documents, presentations, instructional materials, business agendas, grant applications, program manuals, etc. I have consulted for Dolores Street Community Services, Mission Housing Development Corporation, Superstar Health Education, Chinatown Community Development Center, and the Audio Transcription Center; logging more than 600 hours.

I will work with you to achieve your language goal, whether it be providing information, bridging conversation, or improving your own ability to communicate in English and Spanish.
