Hoy, se supone, es un día de buena fortuna. En una parte del mundo se celebra aquella por medio de tréboles de cuatro hojas, arcoírises, duendes con copa de peregrino, herraduras, y monedas de oro. ¿Qué tienen en común cada una de estas cosas sortudas? En mi vista, son raras. En cuanto a tréboles de cuatro hojas, nunca me he encontrado uno en tantos años de filtrar por pastos de tréboles. Los arcoírises salen con alguna frecuencia dependiendo en el clima en donde vive uno, pero a la vez son intangibles. ¿Existen los duendes de aquel tipo?; no creo. Las herraduras, quizás no son tan raras, pero en la vida actual hay poco uso para ellas si uno no tiene proximidad a un caballo. Y las monedas de oro, a un valor actual de $2.067 por onza, puede ser que sea difícil de adquirirse una.

Entonces, llegamos a los colores; bellos y diversos. Según la cultura referida anteriormente, verde es el color que trae la suerte, y por ello hoy hay que vestirse de aquello. Pero hay otros colores que traen la buena suerte. En China, el color rojo trae suerte y es común presentar regalos en sobres carmesíes. El color dorado en la India trae suerte y hay un sin fin de manifestaciones de presentar el color de oro. ¿Puede ser que cualquier color lleve buena fortuna? Como dice Jarabe de Palo, “según cómo se mira, todo depende.” ¿De cuál color se presenta la luna nueva y la llena?; claro, una negra (o sin color) y la otra blanca. Y la luna en ambas formas es beneficiosa. Por ejemplo, la luna llena está llena de impacto a lo largo del mundo. Y, en El Salvador, justo después de la luna nueva se dice que es ideal sembrar.

Por lo tanto, me trae a repetir, que en cualquier estado que se encuentre usted, querido lector/a, que hoy y en las mañanas que vienen le venga la buena suerte y que vea a su alrededor la fortuna.

Today, supposedly, is a day of good fortune. In one part of the world, it is celebrated through four-leafed clovers, rainbows, leprechauns with pilgrim hats, horseshoes, and gold coins. What do all of these lucky things have in common? In my view, they are rare. Regarding four-leafed clovers, I have never found one in so many years of filtering through pastures of clovers. Rainbows come out with some frequency depending upon the climate in which one lives, but at the same time they are intangible. Does that kind of leprechaun exist?; I don’t believe so. Horseshoes, perhaps are not so rare, but in present life there is no use for them if one is not in proximity to a horse. And gold coins, at a present value of $2,067 per ounce, it can be difficult to acquire one.

So, we come to colors, beautiful and diverse. According the culture previously referred to, green is the color that brings luck, and as such, today one must adorn themselves with it. But there are other colors that bring luck. In China, the color red brings luck and it is common to present gifts in crimson envelopes. The color of gold in India brings luck and there are infinite manifestations of presenting the golden color. Can any color bring good luck? As Jarabe de Palo says, “According to how one sees, it all depends.” What color does the new moon and full moon show?; of course, one black (or without color) and the other white. And the moon in both forms is beneficial. For example, the full moon is full of impact throughout the world. And, in El Salvador, just after the new moon it is said to be an ideal time to plant.All that said, I arrive at repeating, that in whatever state you find yourself, dear reader, that today and in the mornings that come may good luck come to you and that all around you you see fortune.
